It’s Never Too Early to Start Learning Karate
The Shotokan Tiger Nation is an initiative to encourage children to get active and learn life skills through training in the art of Shotokan Karate.
We are part of Chelmsford Shotokan Karate Club and are affiliated to the Karate Union of Great Britain (KUGB).
Our classes are aimed at children aged 4-10 and are an introduction to the exciting martial art of Karate in a safe, controlled environment.
Our classes are designed to help kids grow alongside their training, with each new belt pushing and challenge them to be their best self. Many of our students who started in our Tiger's classes move on to train harder classes but still come to help teach our Tigers, some of them even becoming Qualified Young Leader Helpers in preparation to get their official Instructor's Qualifications.
Karate is a complementary after-school activity, and many of our Tigers have grown up to find that skills such as self-motivation, concentration, and dedication have helped their school-life, achieving highly in their GCSEs and A-Levels.
Chelmsford Shotokan Karate Club
The Shotokan Tiger Nation is a sub-section of Chelmsford Shotokan Karate Club. Our focus is on the children, our 'Tigers'.
However, Chelmsford Karate Club is much larger and has students of all ages and abilities, from Adult-Only classes to Family Classes.
If you would like to learn more about the Club as a whole, rather than a focus on only our Tigers, please feel free to visit the main website:
